Father's Day

DAD God took the strength of a mountain, The majesty of a tree, The warmth of a summer sun, The calm of a quiet sea, The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night, The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle's flight, The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed, The patience of eternity, The depth of a family need, Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add, He knew His masterpiece was complete, And so, He called it ... Dad

Mothers Day

Mothers are the place that we call home.
On them we rest our heads and close our eyes.
There's no one else who grants the same soft peace,
Happiness, contentment, sweet release,
Erasing nighttime tears with lullabies,
Restoring the bright sun that makes us bloom.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Our Easter Week Celebration was chock-full of great activities. Easter week was launched by dying the Easter Eggs. Have to have oodles of eggs for the children to find! Once the task of the eggs was completed, the ladies created charming pins to wear with their Easter outfits. It's all about accessorizing ladies! Then the residents made and decorated some absolutely delicious sugar cookies. I think they enjoyed eating them the most! Rev. Moll paid a visit to have Communion and celebrate Easter with the residents on Wednesday. Thursday was our Easter Parade and Party! What a fantastic time we had! And of course, we had to have Easter Bingo on friday. Easter was celebrated with a scrumptious Easter Dinner, followed by the Annual Easter Egg Hunt. The residents were blessed by the pitter-patter of little feet, the hugs and kisses of little ones as they graced us with their presence! The week ended with a marvelous Church Service.
HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!!!

Telephones

A wonderfully comical discussion from several of our ladies resulted when asked the following question: "Do you recall your first telephone?" A dialogue ensued of memories of operated assisted calls, party line conversations...conversations overheard on the party line...that brought about more than a few chuckles from the ladies! Oh the things we learned on party lines!!!

A trip to Italy

Mr. Oreste Leombruno took our residents on a virtual trip to Italy yesterday. What an awesome presentation as he shared his experiences and memorabilia from his time spent in Italy. The residents are still talking about it today!!!

Blessed Are They
Author Unknown
Blessed are they who understand
My faltering step and my palsied hand.
Blessed are they who know today
My ears must strain to catch what they say.
Blessed are they who never say
"You've told that story three times today."
Blessed are they who know the ways
To bring back memories of yesterdays.
Blessed are they with cheery smile
Who've stopped on their way to chat a while.
Blessed are they who ease the days
On my journey Home with loving ways.

She's give years of service

To all people with needs

And along the way

Teaching her children and grandchildren,

Planting the seeds

Care giving, compassion and love

Her main 3 rules
